power off the modem then the router.

then wait a few minutes, first power the modem (dsl modem) back on and wait until it goes through the full test and line sync, only when it's done power on the router.



this trick usually keep my connection alive for 2 or 3 months at a time, then I have to do it again.

i suspect maybe the dsl modems were not speced to be on 24x7 365. you can argue with that theory but you can't argue with the results


btw my dsl modem in the older alcatel (external not internal) with black housing
