Avoid cheap kits even though the cheap price may be tempting. Go with kits made by companies that make HID for OEM cars. OSRAM, BOSCH, Philips, Panasonic, Mashushita (sp?), Hella, and I believe Catz. Some of the HID kits may be a mix of parts from different companies so just because the ballast says Philips doesn't mean the bulb is Philips as well. For more information www.hidforum.com has lots of information. There is members on that forum that are reputable sellers of HID kits and retrofits and they not only sell their HID stuff but they know their HID stuff. They don't bs around just to make a sale. :thumbup:
I have a set of Acura TL HID's and you're right about the black strips. Is it true that you can take the strips off to produce better light output???
