the stock tranny wasn't designed to handle that much torque. thus some people (with 400+hp) were going through trannys every other months. i recall one particular person went with a dog leg racing tranny which resolved his tranny failure issues.
I've never heard of a tranny failure with stock wrx or the 2.5RS
hmmmmm... interesting ::rubs his chin:: So that would eliminate my major problem with the WRX. I wouldn't mod the motor much, if at all. Just the suspension
Well. I'll put that one back on the list. I went to all these boards about WRX's, and everyone was like, oh tranny this, or clutch that, and upon further investigation I found that all of them were racing the cars, and upgrading the motor parts. so I was trying to find a stock one with probs. no luck. I just thought that no one left it stock
