think about it this way they are making almost as much claimed hp as their tubo rotary in the rx7
one they tweak this, then it only means that another incarnation of the rx7 can come in the future 
i think it was one of mazda's engineers said that if the rx-8 does well then another sports car rotary will likely be made in the same spirit as the rx-7
and mazdaspeed is building a turbo rx-8 for limited production
