people at like u gotta dip almost ur whole bumper into water for water to get up into ur intake. my car is really low. i cant fit a tow bar under my front bumper (thats w/o a lip on the front) and thats only 4" high for a tow bar. ground clearance is a bitch. now think about it i drive thru a 3" deep water which happens alot (unlevel roads, slanted streets, so on) my filter isnt that far above the water now is it. now add the fact that i'm driving so the water is splashiing up, now my filter is getting water hitting it ( faster i drive the higher the water would splash). finally lets say the puddle is a car length or more (the longer the puddle add more water) its not that hard to get water in ur intake piping..
