Anyway, you really want to know why you shouldn't rev to 9200 RPM's? One thing for sure, your valves will be fuxored....retainer springs may go....you'll probably fry one of your pistons sooner or later.
It's like this....imagine that you're only capable of running a mile at 6 minutes, yet your coach pushes you to run it at 5 minutes all the time....you'll probably over exhaust yourself for the first few times...eventually you'll get better and can run it at 5 minutes with no problems since your body is used to it. Your car is a machine. It can't do that. It'll just give out.
Jimmy's right...the stock valvetrain on an ITR is not ment to be rev'd to 9200. The valves and springs will be the first to go and as a result you could pop a piston. If you have the old P73 ECU I would highly recommend you pu that back in until you upgrade your cams, cam gears, valves, and springs. Depending upon what you get it can be very costly to do...Skunk2 and Toda are two good companies to go with.
