Personally I think the B20 would be the best in terms of value. It's torquey, and fits in Civics without any major modification.
The H22 is BS because there's alot of Bull Shit involved. You have to worry about the EGR (not a big deal if you have the VX), motor mount kit, wiring harness, different axles, ecu can be a bitch if you have a 97+ with the immobilizer, the ATTS will cause you to throw codes that has nothing to do with the car. It's just a pain in the ass when compared to say a B Series swap. Then again the H22 is designed for another car/chassis.
