ok, besides vtec, whats the differences between the ex and dx/lx engines?
Why can the ex handle 10psi, but the lx/dx blows on 6psi?
How much should the ex engine itself run?
is there any way to build up the lx engine to handle 6-10psi? Maybe ex piston/rods? (I rather not have vtec)
basiclly, how well do you think an automatic lx/dx tranny will hold up w/ a torque converter matched to an ex engine on 6-10psi? I know autos are weaker, but the lx/dx engine is geared awsome for FI, and auto would be suitable since you just punch it and don't let up. I know it sounds retarded, but it's a setup you don't often see, and it could end up saving me money. Plus, I have no problem getting a new tranny if the auto blows out (go ahead and swap to 5speed then).
and yes, I did search, but felt readdressing this was in reason.
