well, my dad picked me up from the airport the 21st in my integra. drove it home and everything was fine. saturday morning drive to my friends house (5 miles) and when i get out i smell burning coolant. look under the hood and see a couple of small spots on the exhaust manifold heat shield. but i couldnt find a leak for the life of me.

next day i drive about 35 miles to greenville, texas thats when it gets bad. turns out that the radiator top cap is no longer sealing. when the coolant warmed up and the system reached pressure, it started spraying between the top cap and the core. not good.

but, alas, when i bought the car 3 months ago, i also bought a 180 day, 6500 mile warranty, with a $100 deductible. take it to the dealership, and had a brand spanking new radiator put in and every hose that looked less than new was replaced. total of about $600 worth of work, but i walked out with only about $110 out of my pocket.

since i'm a poor student, this was almost a miracle. just thought i would share.
