not correct. i have 18's and i just had a smaller ratio tire 215/35/18 to be exact and it made my speedometer and odometer show more miles and that i was goin faster. you just need to make sure the overall diameter of the tire is the same as stock and your fine .
i went to the dealer to do my 30k checkup and when i came back i talked w/ the sales manager and he told me that the owner of the honda dealership loved my car. then 15k miles later i had 2 bring it in to get a new tranny under warrenty they didnt care.
