Hey i just got an Alpine SWR-1241D which is the type r 12" alpine rated at 400 watts rms 1000 watts max at 4 ohms per coil. The way the book tells me to set it up is to run the sub with an 8 ohm load but i dont think my amp gives enough power that way im running a bridged thump tha-2000 225x2. Should i leave it at 8 ohms? or can i get it to 2 ohms or 4 ohms anyone have any suggestions? Thanks so much because as of right now my two lightning audio 12's were louder than the one 12" alpine r and the two lightning audios only cost me 60 bucks total while the type r cost me 150 so if anyone can help that would be great.
