Well I got myself a Dohc ZC, I'll have about $2500 into the block when I get it back from the shop... Why "Waist" so much money in a "D" series engine? Two reasons: 1. Its the underdog and everyone has a B sereis engine. 2. Bisi... When Im done with this engine build I will be well into the 200 HP area Naturaly Asperated... If I dont get the 170 WHP I am looking for I'll use nitrouse oxide. So far its now a 1.7L with 11.16:1 CR forged aluminum pistons and eagle rods. All clearances checked and all bearings changed. Everything is balanced to 10,000 Rpm's, got a UR lightened pully kit and a CM lightened larger diameter flywheel.
Thats what I got done pretty much so far.
Head is getting hardwelded/ground cams stainless steal valves and new rocker arms (no nead for a P&P, these heads seem to flow better than MOST B series) The intake manifold is being cut open and reworked, I'll be using a 62mm Gude TB and a AEM CAI with a DC 4-2-1 Header to move the exaust which will be hooked to a straight 2 1/4 pipe all the way back (Left side muffler to avoid the bend of death) Bigger injectors and a AEM fuel rail will deliver which will be controlled by a ZDyne PM7 Ecu. I may be using a Cusco LSD setup later on, but for the moment I owe the shop $800 so I will get that later down the line...
I'll keep ya posted on how this thing goes!
