well, I don't think H22 is overated at all. Comparing to 10-40 hp difference that a turbo application may have over H22, it still require a lot of maintenance. That, in turn, would cost you more. H22 is a better option regarding to simple setup and availability for better options. This guy at the shop bought my previous 95 EX and did a T4 turbo on it plus all other stuff (port and polished the manifolds, etc). It came out to be somewhere near 240 whp. However, the F22b can't take it and blew up 2 mo. ago at 95k miles. Now he just replace it with an H22 and rebuilded it to Naturual Aspiration, which yield about 260+/- HP without turboing. He plan to go for turbo later on, but right now, the car run great without any regular maintenance like he had to before.

So H22 is definitely a WISER choice, though in my option, it's only a 2L engine, compare the the old 2.2L h: oh well. I own one, and I love it.
