Its more than ugliness that's turning me off. The Maxima has bubbled out plus the interior looks like a downgrade from the 99-03.

The rear bucket Elite package doesn't attract me. Typically I rather have a rear bench seat because I mostly use the backseat to carry things and that non-removeable armrest will hinder things sometimes. And it also seems like Nissan is discouraging backseat sex.

I rather take the last model 2003 over the 2004 Maxima.
