As Decible said we had a hell of a thread going about the H22 vs turbo F series and basicall the H22 won out regardless.
The gains from a swap versus a bolt on turbo are identical but the benefits are immense from the H22.
A turbo always requires a few things besides the higher maintenence factor. The engine should ALWAYS be built from the inside out to handle the turbo application....I stress ALWAYS!! I am sick of seeing people blow perfectly good motors then complain about the hazards of a turbo engine when they themselves did not take the neccesary precautions.
In all honesty if you do not know the inherent differences between a turbo motor and an NA motor, or you have never had a high performance setup (this is my guess from the way you asked the question) then stay with the swap and keep it NA until you get more familiar with the differences and the pros and cons of each setup.
