A few years back R/T did a test with an M3 with and without the ABS, the stopping distances were identical. I'll try and see if I can find an article. It really only made a difference in wet conditions, however the main problem with ABS is that people don't use it properly (yes it can be used incorrectly). Most people when they start feeling a vibration in the petal let of of it and back on again, that defeats the purpose of using ABS.
