just wanna point out two things:

MAKE SURE THE MES plug is plugged into a DUMMY harness, i.e. no wires coming out of it. I actually found mine on my '97 Accord EX right above the hood latch lever. It's not in the fuse box like many have said.

MY OTHER POINT, JUST USE A PAPER CLIP to stick into the harness rather than stripping the plug off to the bare wires.

follow the 6-4-6-second instructions above and you'll be surprised at how easy it is to disable!
