It doesn't need it for towing. It can only tow so much being car based, regardless of horsepower and torque figures. The Odyssey would get the bump in power first because it's the newest design.
Maybe the mid-cycle updated Pilot will have a horsepower increase, as will the MDX. But the MDX is already at 260 freakin' horsepower.
Also add in the Pilot/MDX is assembled at the Canadian plant, while the Odyssey is assembled at the newly built Alabama plant. The Odyssey is the start of the platform to the MDX and Pilot. Kinda like how the Civic is to the Integra/RSX/CRV/Element, and the Accord to the TL/CL.
