This would be a really good idea. What may also work would be to drop in the RAV4's engine. I've never been in a RAV4, so I don't know if its smooth or a good engine or anything (although it can't be that bad)... but it's a 2.0l 148hp I4. I understand it's somewhat aged, but it's probably got the low end grunt these cars need.
