OK, I'll keep this short.

It's VTEC. Not V-tec, Vtech, VeTEC, or anything else you can think of. You will usually get flamed for that, just giving you fair warning.

VTEC means Varitable valve Timing and lift Electronic Control.

Next, VTEC is good. The valvetrains are stronger, so they can rev higher more safely. They allso run two different cam profiles, one normal profile for low revs and it switches itself to a more agressive one for high revs, which makes it smooth around town and scream at the races. Very simplified.

Lastly, LS/VTEC is a good thing, if you invest the money needed to build so it doesn't blow up or leak oil (full rebuild, high-strength rods, new valve springs, proper oil line configuration etc.)
