You guys are all wrong, redline on the GSR is 8000, fuel cutoff as per the helms manual is 8100, so there is no way that you are shifting at 8200. Your tach is off if it says 8200.

BTW, I am not a noob, I just have not posted since the board was restored after the crash last year, and you can see my 204hp, 134 lb.ft normally aspirated GSR here http://members.rogers.com/canuck-mx6/
