I used to think the side moldings were really helping. But one day I looked at my door and it was all dinged up. It was so bad I had to get both of my door skins replaced. Cause to fix all the dings my whole door would've been bondo'd up. Not a big fan of bondo even though it's my best friend right now. Anyways I really don't think the side moldings do much. I think they are just too low to really be any good. Just my opinion though.
Rather have 'em shaved. Look helluva a lot better.
I'm nto sure if I'll shave them yet tho. I might just take the molding of the front fenders and put amber side markers there. But I do have to replace my passenger side door side molding. Who knows what'll happen.
