OK first off although my SH has been ok, do yourself a favor and get a base model. If you were looking new I'd say go with the SH if you liked but used you don't want to run itno problems with the ATTS.

Second the 97-98 auto 5th Gens had 190 hp, while the base and SH had 195. All numbers were magically upped 5hp for '99 up with no real change in parts.

Last the 4th Gen argument is a good one but I couldnt find a nice 4th gen VTEC 4 years ago, it must be harder now. I suppose finding a nice Si and doing a H22 swap would be easier but it's work.
