ok, how bout doing this: remove the old stock gauge, but cut out ONLY the stop needle which the tach needle rests on. glue/tape the stop needle where the tach needle rests into the provided hole of the indiglo tach gauge, that way it wont be as thick as before... lesser chance of rubbing against the gauge correct?
