The RSX tranny doesn't suck. The first 3000 had a little notchyness to them going into 2nd, and then the problem with it bogging down around 3500-5500 RPM, but thats been fixed, my g/f's '03 has had neither of the two problems mentioned above.
Final drive = too low
6th gear is there for a reason, and it isn't as a second highway gear.
