Honestly this is a tough question to answer because I think a lot of the problems that any one company has is in the quality control department as well as the research and design areas.

Companies don't like to go in reverse once they decide something will work it gets pushed out regardless and it costs millions in recalls and damages.

I don't think its a matter of omestics being better built than Imports ( and vice versa) but rather which company has had the least recalls in the last ten years as well as high mechanics ratings.
