Without the tach/indiglo gauge on, the tach acts normal...

but with the tach/indiglo gauge on, it will stick, but it is not even touching the gauge anywhere...

is it possible to lift the needle a bit so it won't rub againt the gauge?
Do NOT mess with the needle. They are fragile and they will break.

Maybe from where you see it, it seems like it's not touching the needle, but when it's sitting they way it is in your car, there is a possibility that the needle gonna be caught in the gauge somehow. That's why you should put double-sided tape on it.
