That's the first I've ever seen on that type of pattern but then again, I've never researched it that much. I've always aimed my headlight with a screwdriver and a socket wrench. That patern would seem to create a bit of a blind spot to your left though, but it would avoid blinding other people. I'm usually the one getting blinded though, so I've never really felt bad about it. Regardless, you should be able to adjust the headlight enough to compensate. Seeya.
