I had the option of getting one or not getting one when they made my exhaust piping... with a resonator you have like 1-2 less HP so I told them to leave it off haha. God its so loud. I listen to music very loud and can still hear my exhaust over it. And if you do get one... the race series is a lower and deeper sound than the street series...
a good resonator like a magnaflow should not reduce power, unless you have a 3 inch turbo set-up.
i agree spend money on a nice cat-back, that way you know what your getting. I wasted $600 into my custom set-up over 3 years only to purchase a apexi ws. My only reason is sound, customs usually are loud and sound bad.
