Considering that you're lifting a lot of weight... I wouldn't do that.

For my 97, I jack from the base of the A-pillar & jackstand at the frame nearby the lower wishbone mounting point, one side at a time.

I also had to buy a trolley style floor jack; the old-school bottle jack I used to use wouldn't fit.
