If you want to get tint window with no fade, no scratch and better visibility... go with 3M or LLUMAR HI-TEC..

Most cheap tint will have less visibility with darker color.. but 3M SCOTCH TINT or LLUMAR HI-TEC doesn't.. No problem driving at night.

When you getting the rear window tinted make sure to tint the 3rd brake area ...

You can choose one piece tint on the rear window or 3 or 4 pieces on the rear window.. It doesn't really make big difference but if the tint job is bad.. later on you can see the tint lines...

Once my friend in Michigan did just the rear two door and rear window.. it costed him $130... I have no idea which brand it was..

I am getting my 93 Accord re-tinted sometime next week (3M - 20%) and it will cost me $180 for all the windows / except front windshield.. (Seoul, Korea.)

If you do choose 3M make sure to check the water marks and 5 year warrenty.

My recommendation.. go with 3M - 20% ...

Here is the sample of 3M water marks you can see on the picture.
No water marks.. fake tint film..

New 3M water mark

Old 3M water mark

3M - 5 year warrenty card. (Korean Version)

Later on if the 3M water mark bothers you.. You can remove it with nail polish remover..

I try to explain best as I could do.. I hope this helps..
Good luck.. Make sure to shop around for the good installation shop.. with reasonable price..
 very helpful post, thanks. One thing I liked about the 3m film, which you just confirmed, is that it doesn't fade or scratch(thats what the tint dude told me). I was checking out his work while I was there and noticed that at the top of the window(on a late model mustang) there was about a 1/16" gap between the edge of the window and the film, I asked about it, he said he could make it to where there was no gap, but the lifetime warranty he provides on his work would be void cause when the window rolls up into the rubber weather stripping, he said eventually, it will peel the film, but leaving that 1/16" gap, warranty is in effect and the film wont peel. having no gap looks cleaner, but if that could lead to my film peeling, I think I'll just deal w/the gap. I forgot to ask if he does the rear window w/ a single piece:doh: I hope so.
