my cv boots were torn on my 94 accord for well over a year and i did not have any probles driving. honda made some really good axels. the only annoying thing about it was the loud clicking sound everytime i turned.

That's funny man, that loud clicking you were hearing were the axles slipping. hehehe.

The axles were slipping because you got dirt and grime up in there and it rounded off the ends of your cv's. hehe.


On a side note: Unless the car is near new, have the cv joints replaced anyway. Labor wise- they have to take the cv's completely apart, and it's not cheap, so might as well buy the parts and have them replace those too.

That is, unless the car is less than 5 years old.
