A friend has a '92 Coupe. He bought it when it was a couple of years old. He spends next to nothing on the car, hardly ever washes it, and the car just keeps going and going. To top it off, I think he's a crappy driver - he's been in a few dumbass fender-benders - in fact, the reason he bought the 4th gen was because he totalled his 3rd gen in a single-car/lost control accident (summer, highway, no traffic). But despite the chronic neglect, the car still looks good for its age.
I bought my 5th gen V6 last summer. Several 'non-car' people have asked me if it's a 2000 or 2001 model. It just looks that new and fresh. I was unaware of the difference at the time, but the V6 model has a much more aggressive look than the 4 cyl's. Honda stretched the front end in order to fit in the V6.
I like the 4th and 5th gen Accords, and would be happy with either one. If it came down to a choice between two specific cars, I'd pick the one that was in the best condition. Honda hit a high mark with the 4th gen style - the coupe has lines that will look good forever. To my eyes, the 6th gen went too far down the Toyota road. When I was shopping for a car last year, for the same money I could have got a 6th gen 4-banger, but the 5th gen EX V6 appealed to my decadent side. It's a near-luxury car. The Legend motor is not particularly strong, but it's as smooth as glass and will pull the car over 130 mph. If you like fast highway driving more than street thrashing...
