Default Chrysler Recalling 1,230,000 Vehicles

A faulty bolt in the seats of 1.23 million Chrysler Group vehicles is leading to a massive recall. The 1998-2002 Chrysler Concorde/300M/LHS and Dodge Intrepid are being recalled because the seat bolt can wear prematurely and loosen, allowing the seat to suddenly recline; the company will replace the bolts free of charge. More than a million of the affected vehicles were sold in the U.S. Chrysler also announced two other recalls in addition to the seat-bolt action. The 1997-2002 Chrysler and Plymouth Prowler is being recalled to replace front suspension parts that could corrode and break, while some 23,000 Ram diesels will be recalled to have their engine-control software reprogrammed to correct an idle-speed problem.
