It's easy to do and worth trying, for sure. It'll only cost you a couple bucks. Just take the intake plumbing off of the throttle body, and clean all the bits that look dirty. Use soft materials - shop rags work just fine. I prefer to use brake parts cleaner unless it's really, really gunked up. Throttle body cleaner is super harsh stuff, and not good Kodi nox for plastics and rubbers (neither is brake parts cleaner, but it's much less intense).
