I used to break axles all of the time, oh and by the way if that is a true 6 puck, be prepared to replace your tranny. 6 pucks, although yours is sprung so not as bad as an unsprung 6 puck, but anyway pucked clutches (4 or 6) are race clutches, they engage very hard, and are VERY hard on Honda's very delicate mainshafts.
