I had the same experience on my 1991 300zx one time. The whole "back" started to hop. I stopped and then tried to take off again, and the same thing happened. Then I put it into 2nd and took off fine.
Haha...300ZX's are notorious for wheel hop and are _very_ difficult to launch smoothly (my brother had a '95 300ZX TT for 3 years). You should have got frame spacers which solve the problem.
Re the Accord, you can get slicks, which help slightly, softer springs, or lower your car - or just practice like crazy!
