Just to clarify the "street legal" part, lots of people brag about having a "street legal" car that runs low ETs at the track. Most of the time these are fish stories; they stretch the truth. While it is technically possible to build a car that runs fast at the strip and might pass an inspection in some states, there's a lot that keeps it from being practical. You wanna run 10s? You will need slicks. Slicks aren't street-legal. Yes, you can swap tires, but now you're modding the car for each different use. You can do it, but it's not really practical. Do you really want to spend all that time converting from street to strip and back? Better to make it a trailer queen IMHO.
