I don't know about the R tranny's top speed as 110mph. In fact, I know that's not the top speed because I have an R tranny on my GSR and I've run 135mph, indicated. You may be thinking of the JDM R where the ECU limits the speed to 120mph or something like that. But you cut that out and I guarantee you can top 120 easy.
R tranny is still my recommendation. Shorter gearing and LSD.
