Default ZC surprise!! tunning help needed

Hey all so I bought a 1990 civic std, had a blown d15b1 in it, so I went out and bought one off a guy with a smile that was too big trust! anyway got this engine for $200 with supposed 30,000 km on it and he said its a special japan motor, I was like ok watever man thanks for the engine, I got home and put the engine in and hook up all the original pm5 dpfi restricted system on there and go on a 5 hour road trip, have all kinds of problems with the alternator and distributor, find an abandoned civic rotted into the ground with a good dist and few other parts, re saulder the voltage regulater conections after spending what seemed like forever taking apart the mitsubitchy alternator, drive around a whole bunch more. after bout 3000km I figure theres something weird about this thing foresure, runs like shit but is also kinda fast sometimes and when I took the flap out of the throttle body it ran kinda lean but it seamed to have a lot of power sometimes, nothing special mind u but not no 70 hp, so I looked at the engine again and seen the ZC stamped on there, looked it up and was kinda blown away, the guy wasnt shady at all he was smiling cuz its a sweet motor, I was worried cuz the cam was half a turn off when I put the engine in and it would not start and had no compression, I was so mad till I figured that out,set it right and it fired right up, it has a performance brapp to it that threw me off, I was thinkin this must have a bigger cam in it or something, took it out to try and it lay'd some mean patches without effort and had a sweet crackle when it hit bout 4000rpm and up. so I have this shitty dpfi set up on it and I think its hurting it, sounds more clicky now like the restrictions and lean af mixture is killing the engine, I get pre detonation sounds like so I put premium and retard the spark timing a bit to try and help but the damn thing keeps leaning out the mixture real bad in the midrange and top end most of the time, the od time it runs fine and is a quick car, I think pm5 is not tuned good enough for the 1.6 L and bigger cam engine? any suggestions on how to add a little more fuel to the mix, maybe trick the computer somehow, messing with sensor resistance to get it to deliver more fuel been looking at turboedit and BRE but I'm having trouble getting the downloads and info needed to do that kind of tuning, I would love to be able to though? I wanna go mpfi but these days the parts are near impossible to find thanks in advance for any reply (Matt)
