Your egr (Exhaust gases Recirculation) recycles some exhaust gases back into the intake to reduce emissions. ususally after a period of time the egr gets clogged up. Look for a connection between the exhaust and the intake. That should be the egr. Simple remove and clean out. But have fun that stuff is dirty and hard the remove.
I've heard that cleaning it is tricky esp since the stuff can get into your oil pan& cause problems.
But how can that be if you are removing it from the engine?
Am I mistaken?
