You're confused, friend. "205" refers to the tires width in mm. You must be thinking of the aspect ratio which gives you the sidewall height. In the case of a 205/50/15 tires, the "50" is the aspect ratio and an indicator of how "thick" the tire is.
You can't fit any higher than a 215 tire safely on a 15x6" ITR rim and even then, you get ballooning that will actually
reduce your tire's contact patch. A 205 width is recommended. I'll be putting some 205/50/15 Falken Azenis on my ITR as soon as my 2nd set of rims come in (UKDM Type R rims)
