Keep in mind these mods are on a 99 EX with the stock engine (d16y8)

DC ceramic header 4-2-1
Good: With a catback exhaust the cars got a nice tone, clean look
Bad: Starting to have little rust spots (2 years of use)
Show: Looks clean but noting special
Go: A couple hp, nothing to go home & brag about
Where: Local shop called Hyperformance
How much: $400 (too much)
Again: I'd probably go with a Kamikaze header now that the car is supercharged.

Thermal Research & Development Catback Exhaust
Good: Deep tone, great build quality, & good price
Bad: Nothing
Show: Polished stainless from the front to the back. It's purdy
Go: See header (not much)
Where: Hyperformance again
How much: $420
Again: I'd definately buy Thermal's exhausts again

Jackson Racing Supercharger
Good: 40% or more horsepower increase. What else do you want. Most reliable kind of boost availabe IMO
Bad: Will definately sacrifice some of the reliability of the car. Especially at 10PSI
Show: It's not the best looking item, but it's still impressive to see.
Go: Weeeeeeee
Where: Used from a local buddy
How much: $1500
Again: Yup

APEXi V-AFC
Good: Great features. Looks good.
Bad: Not the most user friendly device
Show: It's shiny, lit up & blue
Go: Great for tuning on a dyno otherwise kind of poinless.
Where: Hyperformance
How much: $440
Again: Next time I'd do it right & go with a standalone

AEM CAI
Good: Looks cleaner than stock & sounds nice.
Bad: nothing really
Show: See good
Go: A couple hp
Where: Hyperformance
How much: $260
Again: Id do it again but try to find a used one

Skunk 2 coilovers
Good: Adjustable suspension is kinda handy for crappy WI roads on a show car. Not too bouncy of a ride. Average as far as coilovers are concerned.
Bad: Nothing
Show: Kinda hiding. Good for a 3 inch drop though.
Go: Great for cornering like an idiot
Where: Wilde Honda
How much: $280
Again: Definately

Nitto NT555's 205/40 17
Good: Sticky... very sticky
Bad: They wear pretty quickly. But then again I'm not very nice to my car.
Show: Neat tread pattern but I've never really gotten into how tread looks
Go: Great for grip
Where: Discount Tire Direct
How much: $110 each
Again: I like experimenting with tires so no.

NOS dry nitrous kit
Good: fast, fun & very quiet
Bad: expensive to refill the bottles ($40 for about 2 minutes of use)
Show: Having a bottle is impressive at shows but it always gets the "did you see Fast & Furious?" crap.
Go: Definately the cheapest way to go fast. As long as you don't use it all of the time
Where: JC Whitney
How much: $375 shipped
Again: I'd definately play with it again.

DC Sports Strut bars & tie bars
Good: Looks good
Bad: performance for the $ isn't that great
Show: Pretty & shiny
Go: Not much for me
Where: Wilde Honda
How much: $160 front upper, $110 rear lower
Again: Not unless I needed it for show.

I hope this is somewhat helpful

Till L8er,
Ken
