I am thinking about adding this switch this weekend.

Will it harm anything if I have to do a smog test? I dunno if they even test for that in Pennsylvania.

I'm assuming that if a shop hooked up to the ECU they would be able to see when the last time it was reset (maybe not, I dunno) but if I need them to work on something and I just reset it 1 day ago... is that going to cause any problems?

Also, if I cut the backup power to the ECU and the car is off... how long does it take till it's reset? Instant? 10mins? Hour? I ask because I read that if you remove the negative battery cable, it resets instantly... but if you pull the fuse for it, it takes 15mins.
