Folks that have to ask "Should I get a turbo as my first mod" usually aren't fully aware of the gravity of what they propose.

You could blow up your motor. You will forego your warranty. You will still need new wheels, brakes, tires, shocks, springs, clutch and other suspension goodies to make it remotely safe to drive.
IF this is an auto your tranny will soon be trailing you home like Hansel and Gretel's breadcrumbs.

I hope this is for a V6 for maximal power gains.....

I have no probs with person that is serious about going FI trying to be the first. Most of us cowards need a daring pioneer to try this out. I don't think he should have bought another car. Its always cool to make the "underdog" faster, its just easier to roll with a champ.
