StickyHydro,
You might have pondered this already, but before you get involved in what kind of engine and tranny to drop in there, I'd think about something else. What are your goals for the car? Daily driver? Autocross? Knowing that should help your decision.
My daily driver is a beater Civic. I do all the maintenance on it and just keep it running to keep the other cars out of the salt on the roads in winter. As long as it keeps getting 40+mpg, I'm happy. No shame in a cheap daily driver that frees you up for other chores.
So, if you want to race your car, and have a budget for the swap, by all means go for it. But as crxrocks suggests, do your homework and lots of shopping. Make sure you can talk to clients of the shop that would potentially do the swap to verify how the work was done.
And, as GreenMachineREX pointed out, proper spelling and punctuation are important in life. For many of us, English is the only language we speak, please do it properly. Heh, I looked at a resume the other day, misspellings all over it. Where did it go? Propmptly into the trash bin.
