its becasue sythetic runs cleaner, and so its detergents break up all the old **** cloggin up the gaskets, instead of putting more there.

the now clean engine doesn't have the buildup to block oil from escaping from worn seals.

oil thickness is weight, viscosity. not different brands.

The main reason why syn is better than dino is because its is more resistant to deterioration at extreme heats, and over time. It also coats better to protect against cold starts.


although if you're gonna change your oil every 1500 - the go with dino oil.
