Modified Exhaust
Hello to all fellow Acura enthusiast in this forum. This is my first posting and I have a few questions about our lovely judicial system and state laws.
I'm the owner of a 92 Integra GS 4 door residing in the NYC metro area.
My Integra has the following modifications:
Eibach ProKit Springs
Eiback Sway Bars (front and rear)
Tokico Illumnia adjustable struts (front) and shocks (rear)
K&N FIPK
Borla custom cat-back T304a stainless steel exhaust system, 2.5" pipes
Momo Quasars
20% tint all around
The Borla system is the longest exhaust system thats been on the car and it was installed over 6 years ago. Still no areas of rust!
Before the Borla, I tried the HKS and it was a nitemare....
Anyways, I was on my way home from work one evening and this police officer pulls me over. I was in a residential area and speed was not a factor here. The officer came out of no-where and there was also a distance of 4 street blocks between us. I have a clean record, no speeding tickets or moving violations. The officer hands me a ticket for loud exhaust/modified exhaust. He claims that he heard my exhaust from a distance and it was loud.
Worst thing is, theres no fine indicated and I have to appear in court.
Has anyone heard of a ticket like this? Any recommendations or suggestions on what I can do?
