The 92 USDM Civic came out in 1995 with a 1.5L 16 valve carb. In 96 the VTI was introduced with the D16Z7. The Honda City came with a 1.3L 12 valve carb. Now it has a 1.3L EFI and 1.5L EFI. The point is that all of them sucked, so the D16 is a blessing in disguise. Before that the only "so-called" powerhouses were the Daihatsu Charade Detomaso Turbo & the Daihatsu Charade Gtti. Both motors were DOHC 1.0L 12 valve EFI turbos. The Suzuki Cultus Gti is a favourite, with a DOHC 1.3L 16 valve EFI. For some reason we have had a drastic increase in RX-7's and sport bikes over the past few years. But still no B16's or B18's or 2 doors. Take a look at two turbocharged 4 door Civics in Pakistan.
