True, Nissan is no comparison to car company like Ferrari. However, they were performance oriented car company. Hence the Z heritage. Also the Sylvias and SE-R. Infiniti came out in the early 90s. That's the time frame where Nissan tries to be the 2nd Toyota. Nissan, Honda, and Toyota have similar goals. Which is to sell as many cars to the general public as possible. Each pick an image and stick w/ it. Nissan started w/ an sporty image but went bland in the 90s. Now, they've returned to their sporty image. It might not be the type of performance but they are more sporty than the other cars in its class.
